Miriam Clark

Miriam Clark is a Mexican fashion designer, author of two books, speaker, educator and entrepreneur with almost half a million followers on her various platforms. Born in Hermosillo, Sonora on June 29, 1967, she studied business administration at the University of Sonora, graduating in 1997. In the year 2000, Miriam emigrated to the United States seeking to fulfill her dreams.

Nothing was Easy

At the age of 16 her mother dies and she realizes that keeping herself busy allowed her to cope with the loss. So she decided to get to work in order to generate income, carrying out small tasks for her neighbors.

A year later she takes a part-time job in an accounting office, while studying accounting, managing after 3 years to get the position of main accountant. Faced with the economic crisis of 1994, she decides to take her destiny into her own hands and embarks on an undertaking, beginning to sew.

Her Beginnings As A Seamstress

She began by offering her sewing services to her family, friends, and neighbors. Little by little, more work began to arrive and companies began to approach offering contracts to manufacture their uniforms.

While she was studying at the university, she found out that her sister's school needed to change his uniforms, so he talked to the school principal and managed to get the contract to make the uniforms for the entire educational institution.

Miriam was barely 18 years old and she was already faced with the need to hire personnel to help her cover the demand for work that she had.

How Glamor Fashion Academy Was Born

""It all started when I was 18 years old" - says Miriam herself. "A lady from the school told me to teach her how to sew and since I learned by watching, I had the idea that everyone could learn the same way. But the lady was very insistent and told me that she needed me to be with her teaching her step by step."

During her first 5 years in Mexico, more than 300 students attended the academy.In the year 2000, when she decided to emigrate to the United States, she decided to continue with her dream and the rest is history: Miriam

has given hundreds of conferences and congresses international, has published two books, his work and his name is widely recognized in the industry and has managed to form one of the most important design academies in Latin America.

In her first book, My Runway in New York: Bellezza by Miriam Clark a megawwwooowwww experience, Miriam recounts her story at New York Fashion Week, from the moment the experience begins and after. It is a narration of the most important thing that she experienced as a Teacher, Designer, Mom and as a Woman.

Her second book, Universal Technique, was created and designed with the purpose of facilitating pattern making and molding for her students and professionals through the expansion and manipulation of 9 universal templates in 9 sizes.
